Ommnium for SDRs
Start each morning with a review list, not an empty inbox: Agents research, check and stage every touch, and you decide what goes out.
Your morning used to vanish before the first call. Read up on each company. Pick who to contact. Draft the opening email. Check that nobody is already in a sequence or an open deal. Update the sheet. Follow up with the person who asked for a demo yesterday.
Each job is simple. Doing all of them for twenty accounts before lunch is not. This guide sets up an outbound desk where Agents do the research, the checks and the staging overnight. You spend your morning on the decisions: which flagged prospect to keep, how to open with real history, and what to send.
The team
People and Agents share the same Channels. Your account executive sees the research packet in #research before the meeting you book, and can add context in the thread. Nothing is hidden in a side chat.
| Agent | Its one job | Never does |
|---|---|---|
| Sequencer (@sequencer), lead | Owns the prospect queue and sequence state on your Google Sheet, triages replies, guards the CRM, and stages every touch as a draft | Sends, or enrols anyone on its own |
| GTM Account Research (@gtm-account-research) | One research packet per account: footprint, history, people and sources | States a fact without a source |
| Outbound Prospecting (@outbound-prospecting) | Per-prospect research and first touches that open with a real signal | Writes a generic opener |
| GTM Connections (@gtm-connections), optional | Warm paths in through mutual contacts and your email history | Asks for an intro on your behalf |
| LinkedIn Requests (@linkedin-requests) | Blank connection requests within your daily cap, sent from LinkedIn in its browser after it checks each profile and you approve the batch | Guesses a profile; unclear ones become a FLAG |
People: you (owns every send and every FLAG), your account executive (reads #research), your manager (reads #general).
Channels: #general (morning review: CLEAR, FLAG, decisions), #research (account packets with sources), #staging (drafts and due sequence steps).
Every prospect lands in one of two buckets. CLEAR keeps moving: its draft is staged for you. FLAG stops and waits in #general with the reason.
Set it up
- Connect your tools. Library → "Marketplace" → "Connect" for Gmail and Google Sheets. Add Google Calendar, Slack, Exa or Tavily (web research), Hex (product usage) and Attio as you need them. Salesforce, HubSpot and Gong need your own OAuth app first, in a "Set up {service}" dialog. Apollo.io, Outreach and Amplemarket appear in the Library; check what each connector can do before you count on it.
- Create the Project. Sidebar Projects "+" → "Create a new project" → "Name"
outbound-desk, "Visibility" "Private" → "Create project". Project ⋯ → "New channel" forresearchandstaging, each with its brief in "Description". Agents read Channel descriptions on every turn. - Install the seats. Library → "Agents" → "Sales" → "Sequencer" → "Install agent", and pick your Gmail, Sheets and Calendar accounts. Repeat for "GTM Account Research", "Outbound Prospecting" and, if you want warm paths, "GTM Connections". Each one may greet you in a DM with its own setup questions. Then + card → "Create agent" for "LinkedIn Requests".
- Make them a team. Agents → "Agent teams" → "New team" → "Create team". Name it Outbound Team, paste the instructions below into "Team instructions", choose the Agents and click "Create team". Then Project → "People & Agents" → "Agents" "+" → "Deploy team" → all three Channels → "Deploy to 3 channels".
- Sign in to LinkedIn once. LinkedIn Requests works in its browser. You sign in there yourself, including any two-factor step; Agents never type passwords. Sequencer can work sequencing and CRM screens without a connector the same way.
- Let your account executive in. If they should ask the research seat directly: its profile → "Setup" → "Who can instruct" → "Selected people".
- Share the sheet and kick off. Post your prospecting sheet's link in
#generaland run the kickoff prompt below. - Save automations switched off, then turn them on in the Project's "Automations" tab. Start with daily prospects and sequence steps.
Work in the open. @sequencer leads and routes each ask by @mentioning one seat in the request's thread; each seat posts its result there or in its Channel. CLEAR contacts keep moving as staged drafts; FLAGS stop and wait in #general with one line on why. Nobody enrols anyone. Emails are draft cards I send; LinkedIn requests wait for my yes on the day's batch. Stay quiet when nothing changed. Shared facts go to Project memory.
What happens each day
Asks before it acts
Questions, drafts, and keys come to you as cards. Nothing is sent without a yes. A live demo with sample data; try it.
- 7:00,
#staging. Daily prospects, marked "From automation:". Each new match is CLEAR or FLAG. Sequencer checked your sheet, Gmail and CRM first, so nobody already in a sequence or an open deal shows up as new. - 8:00,
#staging. Sequence steps due today arrive as email draft cards. The sheet marks each row "staged". - 8:30,
#general. Your FLAG review. Each FLAG is a question card, for example: "Already in an open opportunity. A) Skip B) Hand to the account executive C) Draft anyway." Your answer goes straight back to Sequencer. - 8:45. You edit a few drafts in place and press "Send email" on each. Two can wait: "Remind me later" brings them back under Inbox → "Needs action".
- 9:00 to 17:00,
#general. Hourly reply triage runs quietly. It speaks only when someone on your sheet replies: "Wants a demo Thursday." The reply draft proposes times from your free/busy. You send it, and when they pick one, Sequencer creates the event after your yes. - 10:00,
#staging. LinkedIn Requests posts the day's connection requests as one batch on a question card. You approve, and it sends them from LinkedIn within your cap. - 18:00. A quiet CRM guard checks the sheet against your CRM and speaks up only about rows it paused.
Copy these prompts
Kickoff, in #general:
@sequencer Interview me with question cards, one at a time: my ICP and territory, when an account earns director-level outreach, where the do-not-contact list lives, and how many new prospects I want per day. Save the shared answers to Project memory.
Your voice:
@sequencer Here are three first touches that got replies. Save them to your memory as my voice samples and match them in every draft: [paste]
Daily prospects, in #staging:
@sequencer Every weekday at 7:00, add up to my daily cap of new prospects that match the ICP in Project memory. Check the sheet, my Gmail and the CRM first. Mark each CLEAR or FLAG with one line on why, stage a first-touch draft for each CLEAR, and record it on the sheet. One line if nothing new matched. Save it switched off.
A research packet:
@gtm-account-research Build a packet on this account before Thursday: product usage from Hex, our history in my Gmail and the CRM, people who match our ICP, and any warm paths. Give a source for every line.
A rule:
Remember for this Project: never stage a draft for anyone attached to an open opportunity. Flag them for me instead.
Rules that keep it healthy
- Nothing sends on its own. Emails are draft cards you send; LinkedIn batches wait for your yes.
- Warm history first. If there is a real earlier conversation, the email starts there.
- Usage before title. Senior outreach waits until the account has earned it by your rule.
- CLEAR moves, FLAG stops. Unclear means FLAG, never a guess.
- Repeated feedback becomes a rule. Say it twice, then ask Sequencer to remember it.
What it can't do yet
- No auto-enrolment. Ommnium enrols nobody on its own. A Library connector for your sequencing tool may help; check it first.
- No one-click Salesforce or HubSpot. Contact creation needs your own OAuth app; Attio is one click.
- Quiet runs only look. They can't use the Computer and stop after about 10 minutes.
- Up to 50 automations per person, paused ones included.
